This is lovely, exactly the kind of place I love. I've no idea where it is but would guess somewhere in the Cotswolds?

Could be Northern France, or indeed perhaps the Cotswolds looking at the stone.

Phillip, I don't know why I haven't 'followed' you until now? You have one of the most beautiful blogs I've ever seen...your photography is amazing, and the subject matter is of course, beyond description. It's all gorgeous!

Thank you Jan, lovely thing to say. They are not my photographs unfortunately (or at least not this one) as I am really trying to show inspiration and great ideas from whereever I find them.

This picture reminds me of Mirabel Osler's garden (pictured in her book, "A Gentle Plea for Chaos").
