Poulett Lodge, Twickenham - by F. Vingoe, c. 1905

[Conservatory and south front]
Poulett Lodge was a waterfront villa, first built in the 18th century along the Thames. It was extensively changed in the late 19th century and little remains today.

Wisteria

Wisteria (a blue form) first flowered in England as recently as 1819 and cost 6 gns a stem. It came from China. This is growing over an arch at Shute House in Dorset.
